In a statement, Nokia has informed its users that a software problem in Nokia Lumia 800 is effecting some of its early users.

How to check if your Nokia Lumia 800 device is suffering from Battery issue or not ?

By Dialing ##634# you can enter the diagnostic menu where you can then select battery status. If your full charge capacity is lower than 1000 mAh then your mobile is affected.

 

How to Fix it ?

The good news is, its just a software glitch so it can easily be fixed with a software update. Nokia plans to deliver the update by early 2012 and mean while, if your phone is effected with the issue, nokia suggests you to charge the phone frequently to overcome the battery issue.

Windows Phone SMS bug / flaw

There is a recent flaw has been discovered for Windows Phone OS 7.5. Regardless of the hardware, this flaw is present in any Windows Phone device.

This is not a security related threat yet, however this flaw allows the attacker to reboot the device via one SMS and later this loads a host of problem like non working of the SMS module and such.

Since its a flaw based into the OS it self, so there is no way to prevent the attack happening. Attack would simple come as a SMS. The only way as of now to fix the issue is to reset the device to factory settings.

Nokia starts of their advertisement campaign for their Lumia series of Windows Phone. Microsoft was always criticized for their lack of ability to advertise their phones to customers, however with Nokia coming up with some good PR campaign, the Windows Phone would now be known to all.

Nokia releases its range of Lumia phone running Windows Mobile

Its now or never for Nokia. The company is already struggling to keep its pace with other smart phone makers. Innovation, app world, hardware, in almost all section, the company is losing ground to platform like android and iSO.

The decision to get some exclusive rights and signing deal with Microsoft was just not to open up a path for Nokia, but also to Microsoft, which is struggling to beat android or iOS (iPhone) in mainstream market.

Today at Nokia World conference in London, Nokia finally lifted its cover of the upcoming Lumia range of Nokia phones under Windows Mobile platform.

Android app to rival Siri gets developed within 8 hours

The journey of one of the main feature of iPhone 4S, the Apple Siri, is not smooth at all.

Within days of it’s launch, the Siri system ran into problem with server issue and within week of its launch, the rival Microsoft demonstrated their version of the service with Microsoft Windows phone application Microsoft TellMe.

And now, add to that, a group of Android developers built a Siri like application for android platform within 8 hours of development time. The app, which is called Iris is now available to all via android market place.

Microsoft Windows Phone TellMe – Countering the Apple iPhone Siri

Within weeks after Apple took voice controlling to mainstream via their Siri application for Apple iPhone 4S, Microsoft is not willing to stay behind. Recently Microsoft has released a video advertisement to show off Windows Phone voice control feature called “TellMe”.

It also shows the seamless integration of Windows Phone with Windows 8 device running kinnect.
