Google came, Google saw and then Google ruled the web industry. Undoubtedly to many, Google is god of internet services as in any department where they work, they succeed.

Performance and unmatched reliability is one of the key pillars of Google’s success and sainthood. However, recent events show, even god can bleed. The worlds most popular blogging service, Blogger, one of the Google’s most important web related product after the search engine is down for more than 30 hours.

Google and many professional bloggers, often identified as web publishes generate heavy revenue via the blogs which are based on blogger. Also worlds media too depend on blogger to collect data from the blogs which are maintained by the users of almost every country which has access to internet.

Google Chrome web app store have Angry Birds listed as free app. However the game seems to be working with any browser, including IE (Microsoft Internet Explorer), FF (Mozilla FireFox) and Opera too.

Chitika, one of the online web advertising platform, mostly used as a supplement with Google adsense, has managed to lose user data of 3 days.

In a recent email notification to its users, Chitika admitted about the matter and have promised to recover and restore critical data on priority basis.

Dear xxxxxxx,

Due to a technical issue, Chitika reports from Monday, March 28 through Thursday, March 31 are missing data.  We are currently working to restore this data to your reports.

We have identified and fixed the cause of this issue, and reports for Friday, April 1 will be accurate going forward.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.  The missing data will be added to your reports as soon as possible, and we will send an update as soon as this is complete.  If you have any questions, please contact customer support.

Incidentally, it seems the company is looking to expand their reach towards Indian operation. In a blog post, Chitika is inviting resume for their Indian operation.

Since with Google Adsense, for publishers, Indian visitors are always been a under paid option, may be Chitika can come up with a better solution and better paid programs.

It seems first time ever, Indian government would officially impose Internet censorship via blocking the newly passed ICANN TLD of .XXX domains.

Its been almost a year since when for the first time internet industry proposed to grant .XXX TLD registration for online porn industry. However, India was among those country which highly opposed towards the proposal and now when ICANN passed the proposal to start the public registration, Indian IT ministry is asked all the national Internet Service Providers to physically restrict user access and DNS propagation towards the .XXX domains.

Decision has mixed reaction inside India since the Indian Constitution doesn’t allow porn business. However the decision holds significant importance since for the first time, Indian ISPs are asked to censor Internet !!

India along with many other countries from the Middle East and Indonesia opposed the grant of the domain in the first place, and we would proceed to block the whole domain, as it goes against the IT Act and Indian laws

As an Internet user, personally I thought this move of allowing .XXX domain registration to be a good move since it would make it easy for parental control software to work if Industry can officially identify and label content viewable and non viewable, however, its frustrating to watch the decisions of LAW makers and worried to see the silent start of censorship in Indian ISP.

Google.com.pk serves a pretty interesting search result for the term “Internet Explorer 9″. It shows an ad right on top of the search results, misleading user to force him/her read or download its own browser (chrome) using the name of Microsoft Internet explorer.

It is pretty important since when Microsoft is been blamed, sued and punished around world for bundling IE with its Operating systems. Here, Google is caught in cheating and misleading users looking for Internet Explorer 9 and push them towards Google Chrome.

From last couple of months Google Adsense team have started to roll out their beta product to all region. One by one, adsense users around the world have started to see optional update in their Adsense user panel to opt in for the new interface.

It seems now its time for Indian users are me too now being included in the beta. In first glimpse it feels better as lot of needed information is given right in the dash board it self but then again when accessing from a slower connection (remember its INDIA), it takes age to load the interface.

Most of the online services are totally automated. Service providers Google wont provide any physical contact for personalized support for any of their product.

However now days so many of us use these free services to handle lot of our business or financial information (consider Adsense / AdWords it self) and for which some time we may end up in a situtaion where we may need to get in touch with the “Physical” Google India.
