Download Kaspersky AntiVirus / Internet Security (v9.0) 2010 Offline update (ZIP)
Nov 20th

Kaspersky Lab have released a stand alone utility tool to download and store Kaspersky Internet / AntiVirus 9.0 updates (virus definition /database / program module ) in a portable storage drive to update any computer which doesn’t have a live Internet connection.
Although the tool is small, simple and very easy to use but in many cases users are finding that their school / college or office computers are having restriction on executing the batch file.
To many users, the update delivery system of the older version (5.0) was better because in that case, Kaspersky Labs used to provide the update as ZIP file.
Those who wish to obtain the updates of KIS / KAV 2010 as ZIP file can download it from Choto Cheeta Online. Here, I will try to provide regular updates of the product by downloading them via the update utility and uploading them as a ZIPed archive from my local PC.

Please make sure you are using the latest version of Kaspersky Installation. You may always download the updated version of the product free of charge from Kaspersky website & can install with your existing license.

Nov 19th
Kaspersky has been one of the industry leader in terms of PC protection software. Around the globe, there are thousands of users, who are using Kaspersky Internet Security or AntiVirus.
An AntiVirus or PC security software can’t be the best unless it receives frequent updates to keep it self healthy and prepare enough to tackle any threat. Kaspersky Labs too releases frequent updates through its auto updating procedure and here comes a question that how can you update if you have a slower internet or no internet connection on a PC which runs Kaspersky Internet Security / AntiVirus 9.0 (2010) ?
How do you do it ?
In answer to this question, Kaspersky Labs have released a small tool, which can be executed from a pen drive or portable USB storage to download and save latest updates in it (USB). Later it can be connected to the PC which runs KAV/KIS 2010 to update it.
Where can you find this tool ?

Paypal down ?? / Error 500 (Internal Server error) on log-in process
Aug 3rd
It seems Paypal World wide is having an issue with its login process.
When ever I try to login to paypal, it is returning an error 500, meaning, something went wrong at their end under the server which handles user login request.
Internal Server Error
The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.
Please contact the server administrator, webmaster@paypal.com and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.
More information about this error may be available in the server error log.
Although, paypal is one of the most secure web site in the world wide web, but still, as so many credit or debit cards / online bank accounts are involved, it always brings a scare off attack on the service to obtain those financial data.
Update :-
Windows 7 goes RTM (Release to Manufacturing)
Jul 30th
Microsoft has achieved a milestone today for Windows 7 by pushing it to RTM stage. The company has already started to ship the products to the OEM partners and by October 22, we would be able to find the OS at our nearest store.
Microsoft would continue to distribute the RC (Release Candidate) via the official download location and users can continue to obtain the product key for free. The download would be available till August 20, where as Microsoft would continue to provide RC keys till March 2010.
An important thing is noticeable in this announcement that although the retail copy is going to be out by October 2009 but the RC product (CD) key distribution would continue till March 2010. Meaning, indirectly acting as a demo version of the OS.
Mean while, reports suggest that crackers / pirates have already cracked and validated a pirated RTM copy of Windows 7, even before it can come out to the public.
Windows Live Movie Maker trial extender
Jul 25th
Those who have Windows Live Movie Maker installed, must note that present version of the product has expired on Jun 30, 2009. If you try to run the program, it would give you an error informing about the reason and would shut off.

Microsoft has issued an (2.8MB) update to counter the issue. The update is meant to extend the trial period till December 30, 2009.

Here is a little screenshot which I would like to share.
Recently I obtained a trail DVD of Adobe CS4 Master collection. For faster installation and other testing purpose, I copied all the data in to my hard drive. When I tried to delete the files, I found that because there are so many files, Windows is calculeting and displaying the deleting speed in Files per second rather than usual bytes (MB or KB) per second.
