Sony becomes first to offer gesture control in mainstream notebook

Presently at sale in European countries, Sony becomes the first PC vendor to offer Microsoft Kinnect like gesture control as UI in their main stream notebook PCs.

Starting with Sony VAIO E Series, users are able to take advantage of gesture control to work with UI of the device via one 1.3MP front facing camera.

Its cool to play with since you can control your PC with simply swing of your hand or such. How ever because of lack of software supporting the gesture UI, the application of the technology seems to be limited with few handful of software like Windows Media Center / PowerDVD / Microsoft Office Power Point and Internet Explorer 9.
