Google delays Adsense payouts of March 2009

Not sure of any global effect, but after talking to some of the known adsense users in India, it seems Google is delaying the payout (cheque) for at-least 2 weeks !!

Google Adsense team is informing all the effected users via email about this issue. This is what I have received from Adsense team.

Hello,

We’d like to let you know that the delivery of your most recent AdSense check payment has been slightly delayed by a few days. However, please be assured that it will be mailed to you early next week.

We appreciate your patience.

Sincerely,

The Google AdSense Team

Update (May 14, 2009) :-

Google compensate the delay, as I am just being informed that they are using BlueDart courier service this time around for faster delivery of the pending cheque rather than usual Gov postal service !!!

Hello,

We’d like to inform you that your most recent AdSense check has been shipped via Blue Dart. You can now find a Blue Dart tracking number in your AdSense account. For your convenience, we’ve also included this tracking number here: xxxxxxxxxxx.

You can use this number to track your payment at www.bluedart.com . Please contact your local Blue Dart office if you have any questions.

Thanks for your patience.

Sincerely,

The Google AdSense Team

I know the conspiracists amongst us wil think the recession has got to google but it’s nothing like that at all. Apparently google has changed or is changing its payment process therefore the delay in March’s checks

Yeah. They released my check also today. Nice of them to compensate for the delay by using Blue Dart.
Btw, why do u have comments in reverse chronological order? It is kind of unsettling.

Any official link about the news ?

As far as I know, Google was doing Beta testing of this BlueDart service.. I was also part of it, however right know I have no information whether I am part of it or not..

For last couple of months, I find, some time the cheque comes via BlueDart, some time via Indian Postal service :(

Thanks..

Hi

thanks for such a wonderful blog.

have u recieved you check now ? today is 27th may

i live in a town in haryana and not recieved my check.

i contacted the blue dart office but they are not giving the registered post (speed post) reference number and saying get it from google.

Should i wait more or reissue

how much i should wait ?

Choto Cheeta  on May 27th, 2009

@naveen

Get in touch with BlueDart via any written mean, eg, email / fax..

BlueDart cant actually say that they wont give you speed-post reference number as its them who are using the service. Google used BlueDart however as its possible that courier does not cover your area hence they are forwarding it via speed-post, so its their (bluedart’s) responsibility to provide you such details.

I suggest, always do written communication and keep Google as CC. If bluedart replies via email that they wont give that details and advice you to contact Google, you can simply attach that reply and ask Google that, this is the issue and request Google to support further !!!

Thanks..

Hi, cool post. I have been wondering about this topic,so thanks for writing.

@Choto Cheeta If you observe, They have removed the Express Cheque facility from Payment Options Page. It just shows Standard Cheque now indicating a change in payment method from Google.

So basically while they experimenting on a payment system, we’re the guinea pigs for testing? If it fails oh well?

Like my overdue $9k payment they are refusing to send. It’s not that they aren’t acknowledging it’s due to me, just that they won’t pay.
