IPL – Performance from the old blood

Day one of IPL saw perfomrance coming out from the older players.
Sachin Tendulkar with 59 of 49 balls contributed heavily in the win of Mumbai Indians where as it was Rahul Dravid with his half century and Anil Kumble with 5 wickets gave B’lore a comprehensive win over defending champions !!!
Microsoft Silverlight to power ball by ball live webcasting of IPL

Microsoft silverlight technology will power the IPLT20.com to allow millions of visitors around world to stream live and ball by ball webcast of IPL second season.
In a press release, Microsoft has claimed that this season the website (IPLT20.com) is estimated to register 400 million page views, 45 million visits and 10 million unique visitors.
Mean while, Saurav Ganguly has lost his captaincy of Kolkata Night Riders to the New Zealand’s wicket-keeper Brendon McCullum. As a night riders supporter and Saurav fan, I would hope that just like every other time, dada would let his bat to answer !!!
Schedule down time for Google Adsense -> April 18, 2009 @ PDT 10 AM to PDT 2 PM

Google engineers would be working on adsense program for a schedule maintanance for which Google Adsense service would stay off line from user access on 18th April 2009, from GMT 05:00 PM to GMT 09:00 PM..
The site would become inaccessible from following time in different regions.
USA PDT – 10 AM
London – 6pm Saturday
Bucharest – 8pm Saturday
Kolkata – 10:30pm Saturday
Bandung – 12am Sunday
Sydney – 3am Sunday

Wolrd’s smallest CD / DVD burning tool -> NCH Express Burn Plus

Its been like a monopoly for Ahead with their burning application NERO. It has almost become one of the must install application for many PC users since it comes bundled with almost all major DVD / CD burners !!
However Nero is an expensive software and under many cases, the new version’s of this product has become quite large in size and heavy on system resource consumption.
In search for alternative, I have already taken a quick loot at Ashampoo burning studio but recently I have found another grate application, which must be the smallest burning tool I have ever seen with size of just 390kb.
Quick look at NCH Express Burn Plus
At 390kb, the NCH express burn plus probably is the world’s smallest burning application. Compare to NERO at USD 80, its half the price and almost 1000 times smaller in size.. Unlike Nero you don’t get any bloatware either to eat your hard drive space and consume valuable system resources.
