Hackers are looking to employee ?

As it seems, some one or some group of hackers have gain access to Monster.com word wide data base and may have stolen some data out of it.

As is the case with many companies that maintain large databases of information, Monster is the target of illegal attempts to access and extract information from its database. We recently learned our database was illegally accessed and certain contact and account data were taken, including Monster user IDs and passwords, email addresses, names, phone numbers, and some basic demographic data. The information accessed does not include resumes. Monster does not generally collect – and the accessed information does not include – sensitive data such as social security numbers or personal financial data.

One of the most widely used global job / employment web service, Monster.com has just published a security bulletin in their web site informing users about the incident !!

It is possible that some user data, including User ID, Password, email address, phone numbers and contact addresses are compromised and the company may ask its users to change their password at next login.

In order to help assure the security of your information, you may soon be required to change your password upon logging onto the site.

I am a monster user, what do I do ?

If you are a mosnter user, please follow the instruction given on their web site to change your password. Also, do not use the same password as the one which you have used at monster in any other online services which you use, including email / Credit Card account / online banking. If you have used the same password else where, then do change those passwords also.
