Phenom II X4

Records are tumbling as AMD folks shows their professional skills to break number of world records related to CPUs. At the deserts of Las Vegas, few individuals from AMD have taken their new 45nm processor to its limit  with the help of liquid Helium to break few processor related world records.

AMD Phenom II X4 @ 6.5GHz with highest 3DMark Score

What are the records which are broken ?

  • Highest ever quad core clock. AMD Phemon II X4 reaches clock speed of 6.5 GHz
  • Any CPU running at lowest possible temp -230 C
  • Highest 3DMark05 score ever

Below video shows as how AMD has managed to reach such high and extreme speeds by overclocking their Phenom II X4 to 6.5 GHz.

Although there are some doubts over the point as why an out dated benchmarker is used as many believes that some other CPU specific software, such as 3DMark 06 or such should have been used to strees the CPU for a longer period of time to test the stability of the over-clock, however it is a dream for all those who over-clocks to reach such extreme speeds.
