thanks a lot .
i got my external dvd done in 1700rs.
1050 dvd writer+650 enter casing.
bot ide.
my casing does not support sata but techcom supports bot and is costlier by 200rs.

Man, I am so happy I read this. I was about to pay Rs.3650 for an external DVD writer whereas one SATA DVD writer (Internal) is collecting dust here – which is in excellent condition.

I never knew we will get casing for DVD drive as well.

Will check for casing tomorrow. Tech-Com has SATA external casing, is it a good option ? Or ENTER is a better brand ? Mostly I will buy it tomorrow.

WOW!!!………you have explained it very well!!!
I have also done the same since my laptop is also not having DVD Writer so purchased this external casing with LiteOn DVD Writer as you know internal slim dvd writer or external branded dvd writer are 4 times costlier.
And one thing i wanna tell you all guys…..this juggad is best and very reliable (Excluding the power failure) at this cost!!
