Hello Pete,

The ViewDoc connectors wont be functional unless and untill you use the external power adapter (a 2pin standard wall connector) to power up the ViewDoc.

But the TFT can work without the viewdoc, viewdoc is only used as “table stand” for panel only…

Is it possible to use this monitor as standalone photo-frame device ? I mean using so-called ViewDoc device ?
It seems it has local power supply, USB and it must able to work as photo-phrane ?

VX1945WM…failure
base went black and no VIEWSONIC or otherwise help. NO ONE recognizes the warranty and the rebate for purchase did not send the check.
BUY SAMSUNG. They support their product and have a 0-pixel-out automatic exchange.

Man its more than enough… you will find your self lowering the brightness a lot, when reading net surfing !!!!

but try for dell 1st, as the View Sonic Support is not that good (from the response time point a view) in India !!!! They take a long time for providing a replacement TFT !!!
