seems like this thread may be long dead, but i am hoping on the off chance someone reads this they can help. i followed the nero vision instuction above to convert an x264 file to a dvd file that plays on a standard[older] dvd player. the file is an old kung fu movie with subtitles, and i believe the subs are hardcoded into the file, anyway, the movie worked perfectly after burn, except that the subs where no longer there. how can i fix this in nero so that i will not lose the subs or if need be add a .srt file? sure hope someone is still out there who can help! thanks in advance!

This is rather basic, it doesn't include how to convert the audio formats from a h264 mp4 to an ac3 5.1 channel audio. My file contains an AAC format audio, which is not playable on a regular dvd player, so there's a lot more to it than this.
