Forums / Blogs / User Groups / Discussion Board, they are all were made and boomed because of the fact, source of free information / free knowledge…
Today was a real disappointment for me… From a very known and active forum of Indian technological youth, I saw no one believed in providing or sharing the information, free…
Just think for your self, why are you here, reading this ??
It is because you are here with intentions to learn some thing to gain knowledge for free… When you want to learn some thing about computers or any thing, you always have an professional option to learn from a professional…
This is where the idea of user groups came in to the picture… Forums / Blogs / Discussion Boards all were meant to share information and that too for free…
Where as now I suddenly realise that, not any more… People are too much worried about Plagiarism, every one wants to have a back link or Credit on sharing information… Information is no longer free though we all claiming to provide it free in our blogs and forums or in discussion board…
The idea is simple, unless you can credit me, you are now welcome to learn, because if I learn, I will implement it… Implementation is the only reason for which I am learning, and when I implement the technique, which I have learnt from a blog or forum, it is possible that some one standing beside me is learning too, so now as the information is no long free, I have to repay which I learnt, by mean of mentioning the original source by browsing the Internet to come a the blog or forum from where I learnt…
The idealism now have changed !!! Which is so disappointing…
The reason I started foruming of bloging is to share information for free, because when I was in my early life with computers, I saw I had to pay to over come certain problems with my computer or how did i use a software or a device… I was cheated many times because of lack of information regarding certain products and techniques !!!
I am no god, I cant reach out for all the people over there in the Internet like me facing problems… but at-least I can share what ever little knowledge I have with what ever little number I can reach out too…
Bloging / foruming is what i do after talking time off from my delay routine with just that goal of sharing information, free information…
Didn’t I expected some thing in return from my blogs or forums ??
What I expected in return is that many be this will encourage others to follow and share their expertise which in terms to day has totally proven wrong…
Its 100% part from me who believes charging for information whom ever I have asked I have got the same reply !!! Information is now, no longer free….
At-least in my blog, I have decided to put up a notice… What ever you are reading or learning at ChotoCheeta.com, is free content… Completely free, its free knowledge, you are welcome to share / re-distribute with any one you like by any mean you like…

Those who thinks that their Blog work is very important than go and get some Patent/Real Copyright.
Dorks are everywhere. What if someone prints an article and go for massive distribution, do the blog author will track him down?
Go for DMCA/Complaint only when your whole Blog is copied and your name is harassed. Just copying one article will not affect anyone. I have seen many blogger who starts banging their head when a single article gets copied.

Its as simple as that, its the urge to share free knowledge which drives me to keep ChotoCheeta.com online !!!
It is really free information, as long as you do NOT plan to redistribute it by putting some price on it !!! The word FREE means FREE, I really dislike the fact to attach the return value like a “Thank you” or a back link to it. No, it is FREE, therefore, that “Thank you” is also not required…
Having said that, I would also say, yes I am too a human, so any comments to any article is always welcome

I personally would not go very out of my way to a person unless he is important to me because day after day, I have been only discovering that due to so-called “free of charge” knowledge distribution, most people are only becoming thankless and sometimes even behave as if we have shouldered the responsibility to enlighten them. Many have even forgotten use of words such as “please”, “thank you”,”hi”, “hello”, “welcome”. Its sad to see a scenario.
Of course, what I said above, you will understand it better if you yourself have been involved in enlightening others.

I read that thread, although not participated, and also your this post. You have some valid points, but you know why people copy the content, not to distribute and increase the awareness but to earn some easy bucks. With so much duplicate content they are just polluting the internet, and making it difficult to find what the real and genuine source of information.

Welcome to the real world buddy ! Nothing is free, nothing ever was ! We all expect something in return, whether its backlinks or hits or just plain recognition or acknowledgement.
But what is reprehensible, is when others pick up stuff from your blog and push it as their own, elsewhere. Like you, I too allow my content to be used as they wish, but I would expect, not payment, but atleast a simple credit to me, as a backlink. That, is still free, imo. But then each to his own !
So, continue doing what you believe in most, without bothering or worrying what others are doing. For knowledge grows, only with sharing.

I appreciate your work for the fellow members. You help many people in each and every possible way. I am a witness. I have learned many things from you and the biggest achievement is that “You changed my attitude”. Yeah! Do you remember when you was using gtalk once, unknowingly I was very cold to you. From that day, I offer help to everybody on net. Don’t give a damn to what people are doing out there. Just want to say that I am lucky to met a person like you. I really appreciate the effort you put in all your articles and they help all of us increase our knowledge.But not everybody is happy to redistribute his content on other sites because of all the effort that goes into writing a article.Also with everybody monetizing their sites now, they don’t want to lose out on revenue.So its a bit unfair when you saw information is no longer free…
