Intel Processor Number Details
When we look at a Notebook or PC which comes with Intel Processors, we see they are mentioned as Pentium or Dual Core and a model number, such as Pentium 631 or Core 2 Duo E4400 or Core Duo T2080 or may be Pentium D 820…
What is those numbers mean ??

Hello Ravi, in that budget you can get Compaq v3702tu which is a AMD turion based model, but that wont be a right choice for dedicated CAD applications unless you have a desktop for primary needs

I wanna upgrade me mobo i.e. P4GE-MX which has 2.40Ghz intel celeron chip.which motoboard can i prefer for 2.40ghz and if further i wanna change cpu i.e. intel to dual core on this mother board which model would prefer for me ….
i m ready to change the ram from DDR1 to DDR2 but i hav have IDE ATX hardisk of 80gb.

Hello Sanz.
There are some problem with your system. You have a processor which is socket 478.
At present all Intel CPU comes with LGA775 socket format, thus all new motherboards only come with LGA775 socket format. Therefore you cant use your present processor with a new motherboard !!!
