There are 2 kind of logo program under Windows Vista, which are,

What does this mean ??

Those hardware comes with HCL logo Certified for Windows Vistais fully developed for Windows Vista and found to perform with expectation for Windows Vista requirements…

Now those hardware which comes with HCL Logo Wokrs with Windows Vista means, they are innitialy developed for previous version of Windows and working fine with them (mostly Windows XP / 2003) however when tested, they are found to be working with vista…
So next time you go for a computer device purchase, do look out for these logo… !!!

dont get upset but VIA P4M890 is not some thing which is built for Vista… the chipset may have support but your onboard VGA wont be able to support vista with high end graphics
As per as the company web site, there are no Windows Vista certification..

i just bought mainboard ECS P4M890 T-M , it said only for xp operating system, but i read ide driver’s readme and it said that driver version 5.12v support in os xp & vista, couples of components said to be able in vista like realtek hd audio, ide pata raid driver….. i wanna ask is my mainboard can operate vista? maybe with later version of driver ide(mainboard)
