Change the Processor Name shown in System Properties
Note, this trick is really not recommended as this may cause windows to provide falsified information to it self and other applications, which would cause system stability issue and may slow down the system….
How to Change the Processor Name shown in the System properties Dialog Box ??
Under Windows XP, Click Start, then RUN Command, “regedit“… (Without the quote symbols)… Now please navigate your self to this Registry location,
>HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > HARDWARE > DESCRIPTION > SYSTEM > CENTRAL PROCESSOR > GO TO 0
Now please double click, on the key PROCESSORNAMESTRING . Change the value as you like…

This will not work, the System info is read by windows on Startup… It reads the info from the motherboard and changes it back each time windows starts…
The actual key is further down in the Registry but it cant be changed…

You can also just simply drag the shortcut of the program you want to startup by dragging it to
Start>All Programs>Startup

well i liked your tip and heres my tip
if u want to start any programme or anything”such as music pictures or any file in your computer then go to group plolicy trun on visibility of log on and log off scripts under scripts and then add log on script on the script.it means give the location of file.either in log on or log off script.and things will start as u want on log on or log off of your computer for any confusion or help explore veza_khusket@yahoo.com

I tried this but dunno after two days my processor name is back to normal….
Isn’t there any way to make it permanent. Its a cool trick to show off u know..hehe
