@Name

Which application gives this error, is it inside the VPC operation or it is Windows Vista which is showing this error ?

Also, VPC do support booting from CD using the available CD / DVD ROM of the PC.. So can you please try and see if you can start the installation via booting from WinXP installation CD ROM ?

Thanks,

SWAP FILE ERR - When trying to install XP under Vista, when I run the 'winnt.exe' file from the virtual DOS prompt of Virtual PC 2007, I get a blue screen which says there isn't enough space for a swap file. I've directed the set to a space that has plenty of HD room, allocated even 500mb of memory..no juice...keep getting the XP install err 'NO SWAP FILE SPACE'. My drives have more empty space than full space.

This program doesn't work on Vista SP2..Business. Also according to the PC 2007 website, the prog isn't compat with all Micro OS.

Can I run windows server 2003 and run windows xp and have the server 2003 acts as a DC and do networking with the XP box logging into the 2003 box...all in in a virtual environment. My host OS is Vista. I think I can do it if my host os was 2003 and all my virtual machines were xp.

Thanks

Are there any plans to add USB support to Virtual PC 2007 or a subsequent product in the future?

wonderful and complete guide for virtual pc setup.

Well i expected little bit high with virtual pc, but i felt some disadvantages.
-My resolution wont with my native resolution (1680*1050) even in full screen mode in my 22" LG LCD. May be am doing something wrong.
-I thought of two OS at once, but after installation i felt that i can access only 1 drive (virtual). It wont allow me to access files from my Host OS. Again may be am missing something.
-I installed, 64bit version of microsoft virtual pc 2007 on my Vista Ultimate ( host OS ) and installed XP_SP3 as my guest OS, with 1gb ram alloted from my total of 4GB ram. Now i feel, my vista goes slow.
-I tried to copy paste some files from my host os to virtual os, but failed.

Overall, am more than happy with my new experiment from this useful post. It was the awesome moment when i saw two OS at same time. As per your words " it allows IT Professionals and Developers to test some thing 1st hand on Virtualized environment but in real time and 1st hand to teach and prepare them self for the New Technology of software which they have developed or wants to develop under them…"

Seeking for some more new experiments in future.

Regards
